When we first purchased Coon Rock Farm, there was a lot of damaged and downed trees from past hurricanes.  There was also a tremendous need for lumber to fix up the old barns, fences, coops, etc.  Rather than let all that wood go to waste, we bought a portable sawmill and a firewood splitting machine.  We sell lots of firewood in the winter from the old downed trees and almost all the lumber used on the farm is custom-cut on our own sawmill.

We will also do custom saw milling for trees close to Hillsborough or will remove downed hardwood trees that we can split for firewood.  Contact us if you have trees to mill or split for firewood.
