We have a few turkeys left for Christmas!  They are in the 8 to 12 pound range, are $10 per pound and will be ready for delivery the week before Christmas.

Thanksgiving is one of the busiest times of year at the farm. We are one of the few local farms that raise heritage breed turkeys outside on pasture on Local Non-GMO Feed. The week before Thanksgiving we get over 100 calls from folks desperately searching for one of these hard-to-find birds. Online they sell for as much as $16.00/lb plus a $50+ shipping fee. This year we are accepting pre-orders for our turkeys at a pre-order price of $10.00/lb (as long as available). Coon Rock Farm offers Heirloom Tomato COOKING CLASSES Mon, July 18, 2016

Farmer Jamie DeMent, of Coon Rock Farm, is offering cooking classes focusing of Heirloom Tomatoes.  Jamie will come to your home and teach her favorite Heirloom Tomato recipes.  The menu can be set according to your personal tastes but can include anything from tomato tarts to salads, to tomato sauces and salsas, to dishes featuring pasture raised meats from Coon Rock Farm.

Coon Rock Farm adds Farm Stay options! Fri, April 22, 2016

Coon Rock Farm has two Farm Stay options to help experience all that they have to offer!  A lovely log cabin and an orchard cottage, are situated right on the farm and open for rentals. Both have two bedrooms and fully equipped kitchens that can be stocked with farm fresh produce, eggs and meat. The farm and houses are located on the Eno River just outside Historic Downtown Hillsborough and adjacent to the Occoneechi Mountain State Park.  Rental details can be found at the links below.

The Carolina Farm Stewardship Association and Weaver Street Market will host the 21st Annual Piedmont Farm Tour on Saturday and Sunday, April 23-24, from 2-6 pm on both days.  Coon Rock Farm is proud to participate for the 8th year in a row!  We’ll have guided walking tours, pasture raised heritage breed brats on the grill and fresh local ice cream!

The Piedmont Farm Tour is the perfect way to meet your local farmers and learn about the Triangle’s local and organic farms. This year’s tour features 38 sustainable working farms in Orange, Chatham, Alamance, and Person counties.
