Everybody blogs. . . Fri, June 13, 2008

There are other people out there much better better at this blogging thing than I am . . .  and, they are blogging about Coon Rock.  Check out the links below for another perspective on our bounty.

Make way for Ducklings Mon, June 9, 2008

Make way for ducklings. . . and, all sorts of other babies. The Coon Rock Family has grown so much this spring! We have new lambs, goat kids, calves and this week we had our first baby ducks!! There are 15 new ducklings trotting around — come see them Saturday at our weekly on-farm open house from 10:00 til 12:00.

All the Cool Kids are at the Farmers’ Market Fri, May 30, 2008

Our Farmers’ Market season is in full swing.

Our new market addition for this year is South Estes Farmers’ Market in the Southern Season parking lot in Chapel Hill.  It’s a great venue and we are really enjoying growing our customer base in Chapel Hill.  So, come check us out this Saturday morning.  And, be sure to try a pie from Scratch Seasonal Artisan Baking ( — the pie is likely to be filled with delicious Coon Rock Farm ingredients.

A Garden Full of Goodness Fri, May 16, 2008

Farming has obviously gotten in the way of my blogging. . . but, as you can see above, the fruits of our labors are bountiful. We worked hard all spring to create a fantabulous array of farm offerings. We also added a ton of helpful interns to the mix. So, welcome Adam, Amy, Banks, Joe, Lindsay and Wimbai.

I’ll update again soon to get y’all better up-to-date.
